Happy days will come to you all year.
If I had a wish then it would be,
A happy, happy birthday to you from me.
I was so excited for this day. I wanted it to be happy for Ikaika. So, I sang to him every time I could. He would give his cute little cheesy smile with his shoulders raised and hands under his chin in a giddy sort of way. I made sure there were balloons in the house as soon as we could (thanks Aunty Celeste : ) And I think it was a success because when my mom asked him how he liked his birthday he said, "I want to have another birthday."
We kept it pretty simple with just a family dinner. We enjoyed watching him open his presents and blowing out his candles on his cake. I decided rather than have a big party with lots of people Ikaika really didn't care about (no offense to anyone), we'd just use the money to take him somewhere fun. Future post for that. . .
I love my Ikaika and am so happy he is a part of our family.
Here are the pics:

Above: I decided to add to the Superhero theme with my awesome cap - I dig it.

Above: My gift to him was a homemade Superman cape.

Above: But the cape was soon brushed aside by the cool toy from grandma.

He's so cute, and so big! Where does the time go? It makes me smile that he loves grandma so much. What a lucky boy!
Love the cape, you're a great seamstress!
