A couple days ago I sent Kekoa upstairs to pick out some pj's. When he came back down, he showed me that he had found some of his Cars big-boy-underwear. He fell asleep that night holding them. The next morning he declared he wanted to wear underwear instead of his diaper. So we did it. He did great for the morning - going potty in the toilet bowl. That afternoon I had to take Sepa in for his 4-month check up and I put pull-ups on Kekoa for his nap. He decided he didn't want to preform for my sister, who was watching him, and after going in his pull-ups my she put a diaper back on. When I came home I told him it was okay and we could try again "tomorrow." He said , "No mom, I want to try again today." So we went back to the underwear and he has done great ever since! I tried to put a diaper on him last night for bed, but he refused the diaper and finally agreed to some pull-ups. I think our day has finally come to have him potty trained. And, just as our pediatrician said - it has happened in just about a day. (Let me just say to those of you with young children - Let the potty training come when they are ready - much easier to just be patient than have weeks of "accidents." - I'm a believer).
So why the pictures of the skating gear? Well, that was the long promised reward for him to start going potty in the toilet bowl. He was so excited to get them. Don't you just love the entire outfit? Classic.
So I really need to make this thing private soon. I feel bad for the kid - exposed to the world.

P.S. If I am not mistaken you have to have gmail email addresses in order to view private blogs. or maybe not??? We'll see when I take the time to actually go private.

Hi Michelle. Kekoa is growing so fast. I love the superman outfit. I saw him wearing his boots, at the show last weekend.
I don't have a gmail address, but I'm still able to view private blogs.
I think I sent you my email address, but just in case...

How exciting!
Our blog is private and I don't have a gmail account.....keep us on the list!
So cute...it's good to know that they will do it when ready and not to push them! And great reward!!! He looks adorable as ever! I'm still confused about the having to have a gmail account...as Chris took care of it...but I think people can create an account whether or not they use it for anything other than to sign in to read the blog!
