Birthday Bash

We decided to have Sepa's birthday party before his actual birthday because my mom was coming into town for the three-day weekend. It was a wonderful party. We had delicious food, great company and a cute little one at the center of the celebration. This first birthday was a little smaller and we only invited a few people (as opposed to the hundred plus that came to Kekoa's party - no joke), but it was still just as fun.

While making preparations I thought about how much I wanted to really celebrate the birth of Sepa. I thought about this last year of having him as a part of our family. He is so loved and is such an important part of our family. We would not be complete without him. His personality is that of a true charmer as he melts hearts daily with his smile and actions. I love that little boy.

When I found out I was having a third boy a year and a half ago I was a little sad to not have my little girl. But I soon fell in love with him even before he was born. And now a year later, there is nothing nor no one in heaven nor on earth I'd trade my little Sepa for. He is mine and I love him.
I have many dear friends who read my blog who either recently had a baby or will soon. I am so excited for them to "get to know" their new additions and to fall in love, so to speak, with them as I have mine. Children truly are a gift from the Lord.

Happy birthday little Sepa!

Michele,
I have to say that having a boy was so fun for me after two girls. I love my girls and they are so...girly...like mommy--That's so fun, but when I had Caleb it was almost like having a first baby again, except I knew a little more what to expect. There is just this mother-son relationship that forms that makes you proud, protective, and in a sense...in love and taken away by your little guy's charm....I don't know how to explain it, but I'm sure you know what I mean. This feeling makes you want to raise them up to be the very best they can be and to know who they are. Little boys are so special to a mom.

And yes, little girls are too...:)

Sepa looks like he had so much fun with that cake in front of him. I heard I missed out on all the great food.
