smile sepa smile

I haven't been the best blogger lately. There are unfinished posts to edit and other things I've missed. Hopefully I'll catch up soon. But here is a picture I had to post. We were waiting at the Pharmacy and Celeste took this cute picture of the boys. Every once in a while Sepa will give the greatest smile just at being asked to. Darling. Notice the boys got hair cuts this week. It was sad to see Sepa's locks fall to the ground, but he needed a cool down and we figured it grow back by winter.

Don't their faces make you smile?

The Rest is History . . .

Seven years ago today Kyle and I went on our first date. I wanted to write the whole story - but blogging has been a struggle lately. Maybe next time I'll get it all written down. It is a great story. And at the end of the night, the first date was a success. We ran into each other the next afternoon on the BYU campus (in a serendipitous way, I might add) and we've bee together everyday since then. Little did I know what a happy future was in store for me with this guy I just met.
happy memories . . .

R&R

Last evening, Kyle had a retreat to attend for work. Happily they invited spouses to come up for the evening and spend the night. And even more happy, I had my mom and sister to leave the boys with. It was fun to have dinner, spa massage, and a movie night in our hotel room (we finally watched Twilight). Just wanted to remember this great little, fun get-away at Daniel's Summit.

ichatting

Thank goodness for technology. It makes Kyle's business trips and being away from him a little bit easier. The boys love to chat with Daddy. Kyle does a great job entertaining and making the boys laugh. Sepa always squeals with delight when he hears Daddy's voice and comes running to the computer. Ikaika is usually playing a game in the background. Kekoa has added to his vocabulary the word, "pixelated." And Mommy has a workout getting all the boys on her lap at the same time. We can't wait until tonight when Daddy comes home : )

Happy 4th!

We had a great 4th with a lot of down time, just enjoying time together. We had a delicious steak dinner with tons of fruit and veggies (hooray for summer). Of course the 4th wouldn't be complete without a little fun in the sprinklers (for the boys) and some Otter Pops. We did have some great entertainment when dusk came with $3.90 worth of sparklers and firecrackers. More entertaining was the show of human-firecrackers that Kyle and the boys put on for us. It'll be the only time in their lives when I'll hear them say, "Light me up!" It was great.

I am so thankful to live in the USA.

(above: they looked so cute from behind, I had to take a picture.)

Happy 4th of July : )

Snap

I adore this picture (the upload doesn't do it justice). If his eyes were crisp in the picture, I'd be tempted to put it on canvas. I think it will forever remind me of him at this age. Kyle and I love his long hair and how it curls. We can't bring ourselves to cut it. The best is after a nap.
Speaking of which, Sepa loves to have a bottle right after he wakes up. And his favorite thing is to be held by me and hold my left arm while enjoying his milk. Sometimes I feel like I am back to nursing, but I don't mind. He is a charmer and I love him.

Meeting Kaipo

We went to visit my sister in AZ to meet her newest addition to the family. It was a long trip, but worth it in every way. Kekoa and Ikaika loved playing with their cousin Kono, I enjoyed visiting with my sister and we got to spend part of those first precious days of life with Kaipo. He is such a cutie pie and we had fun doing some pictures of him. Here's a sweet picture of him smiling- and only at 5 days! We are so happy for you Jess and Granite!

PS. There are more pictures of him on my photography blog.

Where else would I put it?

Mom, are you seriously going to post these pictures? I was wondering why you pulled out the camera so often when I was in my high chair.
How embarrassing, Mom . . .
