Happy Daddy's Day

It is no secret that Kyle is a well-loved guy. But no matter what others think of him nothing can compare to the love that the boys and I have for him. We are so thankful for all the love, support and time he gives to our little family.
Here are just some pictures I grabbed out of my photo library. It seems a little Sepa heavy - but he really is a Daddy's boy through and through.

above: this is just an activity we attended a couple months ago at UVU.

above: Even with full-time work, full-time school, and church responsibilities, he takes time to play with the boys. I could never build something so cool.

above: letting Daddy go to work in the morning is always hard. The boys often run to the window to say goodbye to Daddy to the very last moment. They are usually at this same window waiting for him when he comes home.

Hope you had a Happy Father's day, Sweetheart. We love you so much!

I've got JOY . . .

because it is over.
Not that I didn't enjoy teaching Joy School. And not that I didn't like the curriculum (I loved it in fact). It just that it was agony for Kekoa the last couple months to have to "leave his family" (as he put it). Seriously, agony. I did everything from bribing to threatening (to take away toys for a while) to spending half the time there with him to just leaving him crying. Well, we finally made it through. Now, I'll just have to wait and see if the phase passes before he goes to kindergarden. Thank goodness it isn't this Fall.
Today we had a little graduation celebration. Food (of course : ) and a little program - singing included. The kids favorite part was throwing their graduation caps in the air.
Even with all his crazy clingyness, I love my Kekoa. Cute kid.

Vertically Mobile

(Nevermind the pile of papers under the desk . . .)
I was on my computer this morning and when I turned around here was Sepa, sitting on top of Kyle's desk. What on earth?
He's starting this a little early for me. What are we in for with this little boy?

It should be against the law . . .

. . . or at least against home-buying etiquette to see a home of a mother of three young tornado-boys, three times in less than a week and then decide to go with another home.

Just venting a little. I should at least be happy we got some kind of traffic. I know it will all work out for the best. Just being in the middle of being patient is not always the easiest thing.

Happy Birthday Ikaika!

Happy, happy birthday Kaika dear,
Happy days will come to you all year.
If I had a wish then it would be,
A happy, happy birthday to you from me.

I was so excited for this day. I wanted it to be happy for Ikaika. So, I sang to him every time I could. He would give his cute little cheesy smile with his shoulders raised and hands under his chin in a giddy sort of way. I made sure there were balloons in the house as soon as we could (thanks Aunty Celeste : ) And I think it was a success because when my mom asked him how he liked his birthday he said, "I want to have another birthday."
We kept it pretty simple with just a family dinner. We enjoyed watching him open his presents and blowing out his candles on his cake. I decided rather than have a big party with lots of people Ikaika really didn't care about (no offense to anyone), we'd just use the money to take him somewhere fun. Future post for that. . .
I love my Ikaika and am so happy he is a part of our family.

Movin' On Down

Down to the toddler table that is. This past week, Sepa decided to try out the little table we have in our kitchen. Kekoa and Ikaika use to sit there all the time, but have now graduated to the big table with Kyle and I. So, Sepa has decided to claim it as his own. It was so cute to watch him climb onto the chair. There were a couple times I told the boys to sit in their seats to get ready to eat and Sepa walked straight over to the little table and sat down patiently for me to bring him food. It is so cute and he looks so grown up. He is such a cute, little person.

This week we tried to do a birthday invite picture for Ikaika. Kyle cut his hair and I made sure he had a clean Superman shirt (he decided he wanted a Superman party). On Tuesday night I took the boys in the van to drive somewhere to take pictures of Ikaika. I was excited to practice taking some outside shots after the fun things I've learned recently. For some crazy reason I thought we could do some down by the lake. When I pulled up to the area I had in mind I soon realized that the dark cloud around our van was not dust, but misquitoes. There was no way we getting out of the van. So, we had to settle for some studio shots. Isn't he a handsome little dude?

Foam is the new Duct Tape

Kekoa has been bugging me for a while to make him a Hercules costume. So, today was the day I finally got it done. I indulge him in his requests for costumes because I think it is great for adding to his imagination and creative play. And I decided to get this one done already in hopes that the novelty and coolness will have worn off a little by the time Halloween comes around (I still hope the boys will be the Three Musketeers). So, there it is :)
