hmmm.... maybe now we will see a variety from the superman outfit.
Kyle left to Florida for a work conference yesterday morning - it already feels like its been forever. We have been trying to stay busy and distracted visiting with family (my sisters and their boys), watching Horton Hears a Who at the dollar theater, running errands and keeping busy, but we still miss him like crazy. I took a quick snapshot before Kyle left for the airport.

A couple days ago I sent Kekoa upstairs to pick out some pj's. When he came back down, he showed me that he had found some of his Cars big-boy-underwear. He fell asleep that night holding them. The next morning he declared he wanted to wear underwear instead of his diaper. So we did it. He did great for the morning - going potty in the toilet bowl. That afternoon I had to take Sepa in for his 4-month check up and I put pull-ups on Kekoa for his nap. He decided he didn't want to preform for my sister, who was watching him, and after going in his pull-ups my she put a diaper back on. When I came home I told him it was okay and we could try again "tomorrow." He said , "No mom, I want to try again today." So we went back to the underwear and he has done great ever since! I tried to put a diaper on him last night for bed, but he refused the diaper and finally agreed to some pull-ups. I think our day has finally come to have him potty trained. And, just as our pediatrician said - it has happened in just about a day. (Let me just say to those of you with young children - Let the potty training come when they are ready - much easier to just be patient than have weeks of "accidents." - I'm a believer).
Sweet, sweet Sepa - four months already? His head is now strong enough that he is back in the teacup bum first. I love the smile on this one.

Though I am not complaning at all about the cooler days we have had lately (I actually prefer the 60's), it was nice to have a sunny day yesterday for an excuse to get some ice cream. I was quite proud of myself for being so spontaneous to just jump in the van with the boys and run to the store to grab a couple things. The main reason we went was to get hats for the boys to wear when they are outside - I thought it would be easier and a little more fun than sunblock on the face every time the go out to play. They are both excited to wear their hats outside. We also grabbed some yummy, yummy (I can say that by experience) push-up pops. Do you remember those great things? It was fun to sit on the porch and enjoy them together. It was also a great bribe to get Kekoa to help me straighten up his room.

So I have decided that I'd stop pretending with this whole photography thing and finally take a class. I started last Thursday with a UVSC continuing ed. class. I am excited to learn somethings to help me further develop skills and talent. As part of our assignment for this week we need to take two pictures using "unique lighting" - basically anything that is not outside during noonday. So here are some I took today before church. I know the towel thing is a repeat, but I need to take the picture this week and I love the way Kaika's eyes pop with the white all around. Anyway- just thought I'd post them for fun : )
Kyle made me a delicious, hearty breakfast which we all enjoyed as a family. I had a chance to go back to sleep and take it easy. One of my favorite parts of the morning was when we all piled into our bed. Five people in a queen bed is nice and... close. I loved it though - my sweet family I love so much all together.
I really wanted a picture with my little ones - taken on mother's day. Here were are in real-life, a little hashed, but happy to have each other. Poor Kyle was only able to snap a few before he had to run back inside and throw-up. That's love right there.

I've been meaning to do a 3-month photo shoot with Sepa for a week or so. I took these after a session last week. I need to do a little more this week. I am trying to not just get so busy with other people's kids and not do my own. Anyway - I love the look of the blue, textured blanket. He is such a cute. I love how round he is - round eyes, round cheeks, round nose - so pinchable.
